area of regular polygons
What is a regular polygon? When a polygon is referred to as "regular" it means that all its sides are congruent (each length)'
What does it mean to be inscribed in a circle? If a polygon is inscribed in a circle it means the polygon is inside the circle AND all it's vertices are touching the edge of the circle.
Use the formula below to find the area of any Regular Polygon.
Add Theorem 11.4 to your Ch. 11 Notes. Be sure to draw in the example and the formula.

You can either multiply the apothem by the Perimeter (P) or by the number of sides (ns)
